Regular Team Meeting with "Free Flow Activities"
Do you want to start the year off on the right foot? Your very first meeting should be scheduled or run as you would like all meetings to be scheduled or run. A regular Team meeting might look something like the following:
| 00:00 | Team Members start to arrive and immediately start to work on a "free flow" task you have prepared and set out for them. |
| 00:15 | Team does several group warm-up activities |
| 00:30 | Team attempts Instant Challenge or specific skill |
| 00:45 | Team dissects Instant Challenge/specific skill and tries again |
| 01:00 | Team takes a snack break while YOU facilitate an idea generating session to introduce or discuss a portion of the Central Challenge to be solved by the Team. |
| 01:15 | Team uses various creative problem-solving tools and techniques to "solve" a portion of the central challenge |
| 01:30 | Team attempts Instant Challenge or specific skill |
| 01:45 | Team dissects Instant Challenge/specific skill and tries again NOTE: Be sure to have two (2) sets of Instant Challenge materials on hand so Teams can have full freedom to try it again. |
| 02:00 | Team meeting concludes and free time/fun begins (while you clean up, prepare for next meeting, etc.) |
| 02:30 | Meeting is over, Team Members start to leave |
Meetings that will focus specifically on costumes, props, field trips, etc. would be scheduled differently than a regular team meeting.
What are "Free Flow" Activities?
"Free Flow" activities should be engaging but not require a specific solution. For younger or newer teams, this could be working alone but at the same table. Some "free flow" ideas to try:
